Does This Shadow Make Me Look Fat?

So it was just about sunset at the end of a rainy afternoon. I was starting to wonder what on earth I could take a photo of on a dreary day. Suddenly the sun flashed out, and there I was in full 'colour' on the wall.

I figured it was about time to actually use more of the functions on my camera. Hopefully this challenge of posting a photo taken each day at our farm will get me actually reading the instruction dvd and practicing some of the other things that I've never tried with the camera.

I don't have an DSLR, but will one day, but first I told myself I had to make full use of the camera I already have. I bought this one at the beginning of March last year because it had a good video function and a decent zoom. I didn't want to put out a whole lot of money at that point and I wasn't sure how much I 'd actually use the camera. Ten months and 5000 photos later, well I guess I do take a few pictures:)
