Like the Swallows to Capistrano....

.....The wasps have returned to our greenhouse.

As far as I can tell they are European Paper wasps.

Usually they and I manage to coexist peacefully.

EEEEK wasps!!!! OMG you would not have caught me getting that close to them lol...love the picture of the hive, it's amazing how they manage to build them to intricately - but I still am terrified of them!! You can keep them over there!! lol

Those are the ones that if they sting you it hurts for 48 hours..I would kill them..but sometimes I am a cruel lady:)

I figured it was about time to actually use more of the functions on my camera. Hopefully this challenge of posting a photo taken each day at our farm will get me actually reading the instruction dvd and practicing some of the other things that I've never tried with the camera.

I don't have an DSLR, but will one day, but first I told myself I had to make full use of the camera I already have. I bought this one at the beginning of March last year because it had a good video function and a decent zoom. I didn't want to put out a whole lot of money at that point and I wasn't sure how much I 'd actually use the camera. Ten months and 5000 photos later, well I guess I do take a few pictures:)
