Kinda Depressing

Do we notice the crummy weather more as we get older?

I know the elderly definitely feel the cold more, and I guess we're all heading in the elderly direction, just some sooner rather than later.

Whatever it is, the long dragged out winter seems to be getting to me this year.

Maybe because I'm trying to take photos more often...and it just makes it harder.

Of course it all gets forgotten when we get a nice Spring type day, but days like today at this time of the year really seem to get me down.

So here we have it. Rain running down the kitchen window, which it's been doing since I got up, and the temperature 6 degrees below 'normal'. Yuk:(

The weather looks miserable but the scenery blurred by the rain has a really cool effect, like a painting :)

I figured it was about time to actually use more of the functions on my camera. Hopefully this challenge of posting a photo taken each day at our farm will get me actually reading the instruction dvd and practicing some of the other things that I've never tried with the camera.

I don't have an DSLR, but will one day, but first I told myself I had to make full use of the camera I already have. I bought this one at the beginning of March last year because it had a good video function and a decent zoom. I didn't want to put out a whole lot of money at that point and I wasn't sure how much I 'd actually use the camera. Ten months and 5000 photos later, well I guess I do take a few pictures:)
