Playing With Your Food

This is the time of the year that the Seville or marmalade oranges are in season.  They were on sale last week, so I bought enough for 7 batches.  These are the oranges for the last batch.  They have been juiced (thanks Larry), had the pith and membranes scraped out, and now just have to be cut up.  Then the peel and juice goes into one bag, and the pith, membranes, seeds etc into another bag, and it all goes into the freezer.  With the fruit for lemon, grapefruit and three fruit marmalade, I have enough now for about 22 batches.  Yep, that's a lot of marmalade.

And because it's such a wet, dark crappy day out there, it was nice to take a picture of something bright.
