Busting Through

Despite our lousy weather not giving us much indication that Spring is on it's way, the rhubarb is tired of waiting. The whole row is busting through the thick layer of mulch I put over it.

I figured it was about time to actually use more of the functions on my camera. Hopefully this challenge of posting a photo taken each day at our farm will get me actually reading the instruction dvd and practicing some of the other things that I've never tried with the camera.

I don't have an DSLR, but will one day, but first I told myself I had to make full use of the camera I already have. I bought this one at the beginning of March last year because it had a good video function and a decent zoom. I didn't want to put out a whole lot of money at that point and I wasn't sure how much I 'd actually use the camera. Ten months and 5000 photos later, well I guess I do take a few pictures:)
