A Step Up

From a crocus that is. We don't have much in the way of early flowering bulbs here, but this little Iris is the first bloomer of the clump that has been there for years at the base of the flowering cherry tree. Quite often they are blooming in the middle of February.

It's not an early Spring this year.

I love Iris, only wish the flower lasted longer. The Siberian Iris grow wild all over in wet areas here.

Here we have Iris blooming in June..so it is good to see yours:)

I figured it was about time to actually use more of the functions on my camera. Hopefully this challenge of posting a photo taken each day at our farm will get me actually reading the instruction dvd and practicing some of the other things that I've never tried with the camera.

I don't have an DSLR, but will one day, but first I told myself I had to make full use of the camera I already have. I bought this one at the beginning of March last year because it had a good video function and a decent zoom. I didn't want to put out a whole lot of money at that point and I wasn't sure how much I 'd actually use the camera. Ten months and 5000 photos later, well I guess I do take a few pictures:)
